Through The Tissues

'Through the tissues', is a Live video performance based on a native self improvisation that underwave muscular tissue and skin-cloth. The collaborative aspect occur initially from a costume design production whitch tooks it's inspirational thread from the psychiatric hospital 'Salpêtrière'; Followed by the interpretative 'hysterical character' from body performance to sound production. The creative process of this performative project started from picturing a lexical of hysterical posture and body language inspired from photographic archives; To finally perform it's improvisional representation. 

 

'By projecting my body into a transe state of mind, the performance consisted on exploring the psychic interaction between two bodies performing colision & fusion into one dissociated characted «Hysteria». Like circuited nerve's, the editing montage of image and sound occurs as the psychism of the character itself. In my concern, the aims of this experimental project was to explore the extend and limite of the body language under a specific collaborative & thematic context'.
